20 Years Tawny Port

Porto

20 Years Tawny Port

Our 20 years old Tawny Port is gifted with a great elegance and smoothness. Round in the mouth, silky and very fresh. All our tawny's are aged in old "toneis", which permits the wine to age slowly and acquires the characteristic of ambar colour, developing slowly the complex flavours and a smooth palate.

Vinification

The grapes for this wine are sourced from our different "Quintas" located in the heart of the Demarcated Douro Region. Vinified in lagares, ageing is carried out in old oak casks, for a period of 20 years. Following ageing the different wines are put togethere so as to obtain a richer and complex final "blend".

Tasting Notes

The Vieira de Sousa 20 years old tawny port has an amber, golden tawny color, due to his long aging in old cask of our family lodges in Douro. On the nose it shows a delicate and superb bouquet with nutty characteristic and subtle oak nuances. A very elegant and smooth sugar on the palate, very well balanced with a long lasting finish.
