Vintage 2009

This fantastic vintage is made from grapes from only one of our vineyards: Quinta da Roncão Pequeno. Plots of vineyards with more than 40 years old, south face and with more than 10 grape varieties.

Vinification

Overripe and dry grapes were taken out to reassure the finesse of the wine. The grapes from Quinta do Roncão, were fermented with foot treading in lagares. After fortification with grape brandy, the wine aged in inox tanks. In 2011 we bottled this fantastic wine.

Tasting Notes

This is a vintage with great concentration and simultaneously fine and elegant. Fruity, but not ripe, with aggressive and rich tannins. With long final. Impressive finesse even though robust.
